Boswell

This name was taken either from a site, Yvetot in Normandy, or from a place near Bolbec, and was found in Scotland by the 12th century. Those of the name settled in Berwickshire, near Cowdenbeath in Fife, and near Catrine at Auchinleck in Ayrshire.
